Welcome to the official website of South Coast School Sport, an official unit within Education Queensland.

This office manages representative school sport (state and non-state) at both the Primary and Secondary levels and is guided by a representative body, the South Coast School Sport Board.

Geographically, our regional boundaries extend north to Shailer Park, west to Beaudesert and south to the NSW border.

Young Athlete Assistance Programme 2012

Young Athletes Assistance Program
The South Coast School Sports Board would like to make Athletes and their Parents/Caregivers aware of possible funding through the Queensland Department of Communities (Sport and Recreation Services) “Young Athlete Assistance Program”.  This program aims to provide funding for young athletes within Queensland who have competed at a state sporting or state school championship, national sporting or national school championship or international championship.  Financial assistance of $200 is available to assist with the cost of travel and accommodation for events that are at least 200 radial km away from the student’s place of residence and must be made AFTER attending the eligible event.  For information regarding eligibility, scope of assistance and how to apply, interested applicants are urged to search the following Queensland Government website:
